Richard Hansen-

Mr. Hansen
is President, Citocorp Ventures Inc. and SmartAngels Network Inc. He is also an officer and director of
several companies engaged in real estate development
and investment.
Educated at Dalhousie University, Mr. Hansen was first
employed as assistant to the president, Knowlton Realty
Ltd.
an international firm specializing in commercial real estate. He later
became general manager of Britannia Realty Canada Inc.,
where he managed (200) realtors and won sales leader awards at the Calgary
Real Estate Board. When the company was acquired
by Royal LePage, Mr. Hansen left to form Harcourt Development Corporation
and develop real estate for his own account.
Over the next ten years, Harcourt became the largest fourplex
builder/developer in Western Canada.
Mr. Hansen's experience includes shopping centers, office
buildings, hotels, apartments, condominiums, residential
subdivisions, etc.
He has developed/invested in (75) projects in (26 ) towns
and cities in Western Canada and the USA. His largest projects
include Roxboro House,
a $35M luxury high rise (147 unit) condominium developed
in Calgary with Morris Kowall and Campeau Corp., also (1700)
residential lots
developed in (Brooks/Camrose/Lethbridge, Alberta) with
Lehndorff Corporation.
Richard Hansen is an active investor in early stage companies.
His venture capital activity includes early stage financing
for (25) companies
in various industries. He has been a co/founder/officer/director
and major shareholder in (13) junior public companies.
Mr. Hansen has been a member of advisory boards at Mount
Royal College and CPAC, a City of Calgary planning advisory
committee
for the Eau Claire district in downtown Calgary. He has appeared on CBC-TV, Venture
Program and was featured as"man of the month" by a national business
magazine. Mr. Hansen is a member of Venture Alberta and he networks with angel
investors throughout North America |
