A former broadcaster
and news reporter, Stuart McNish enjoyed a ten year career
at BCTV in Vancouver. During his time at the station, Mr.
McNish won eight broadcast awards, including the prestigious
Jack Webster Award for Best Television Reporting in British
Columbia, which he won twice (1991 and 1995).
Mr. McNish left BCTV in 1997 to launch his own production
company, Oh Boy Productions, which is now a full service video
production company operating in Western Canada.
Stuart says it best, when he says "I am a storyteller - my
role is to help others tell their stories. Video is the medium
I use because of the dynamic interaction of pictures, with
sound and music coming together to evoke a powerful emotional
response. I love the work. My long term objective is to constantly
seek new and exciting ways of using the medium, together with
technology and my story telling skills to realize my clients'
vision in a compelling and effective way".
"The work we do here is the type of work I have spent a lifetime
developing a skill set to perform".
Stuart McNish studied Broadcast Journalism at the British
Columbia Institute of Technology, during which he also worked
part time at Equity Magazine and CKVU-TV in Vancouver. |
