Peter Rona,

Peter Rona is
a Director of Microslate Inc., a manufacturer of rugged mobile
work stations located in Montreal. Since 2000, he has also
been a Director/Consultant with Invis Inc., the second largest
independent mortgage brokerage in Canada ($4B annual mortgage
volume). Invis was recently acquired by HSBC Banking Group.
Mr. Rona is a seasoned leader in public and private media,
entertainment and technology firms. His experience includes
CEO, President and General Manager roles where he was responsible
for all facets of operations. He is highly regarded for his
profitable track record in the entertainment/technology community.
He is a skilled leader in business strategy, marketing, finance,
technology and business development.
In 1970 at age 22, Mr. Rona founded a computer service bureau
named Cynet Computer Services Ltd. Cynet expanded across Canada
and within five years had 50 employees and annual sales of
$5M. He sold the company in 1979 and moved to Dural Product
Ltd. as Executive Vice President. At Dural, he was responsible
for a 50% sales increase over two years to $22M annually.
From 1983-1985 Mr. Rona was Vice President Sales/Marketing
with Computer Media Group, where he was responsible for increasing
sales from $3M to $8M, an increase of 250%.
In 1985, Peter founded a communications/ entertainment group
of companies that later went public and listed on NASDAQ.
He managed the NTN Group of companies for 15 years, and in
September 2000 he sold his controlling interest and resigned
his executive positions.
During the period 1997-2004, Mr. Rona also served as Chairman/Director/Consultant
for Players Network Inc. (OTCBB:PNTV) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Players is the first digital 24 hour gaming and entertainment
network to specialize in producing television programming
for the gaming industry. Players Network delivers its 24 hour
television channel directly into the hotel and casino guestrooms
and has positioned itself, as the leading gaming network on
the World Wide Web.
Peter graduated with a B.A. from Concordia University. He
also has a Diploma in Management from McGill University and
is fluent in English, French and Hungarian. |
